Two years before Liam appeared in the first Hunger Games film, he was in The Last Song with Miley Cyrus. Liam and Miley's characters fall in love in the film, and the actors fell in love in real life too. Liam and Miley were a star couple until they separated in 2013. 

A BIG CHALLENGE

Hollywood directors noticed Liam when he was Miley's boyfriend. He got offered the role of a lifetime: Gale Hawthorne, Katniss' best friend, in The Hunger Games. Suddenly, Liam became the idol of millions of fans. But he was faced with a challenge: playing Gale as readers had imagined him. 

BROTHERS AND RIVALS

Liam is the baby of the Hemsworth family. He has two older brothers, Chris and Luke, and all three brothers are actors. Liams says that without them he wouldn't be an actor today. But, he also admits that there's rivalry in the family and, at times, this competition is difficult. For example, before Liam's Hunger Games sucess, he auditioned to play Thor in the film Thor... But his brother Chris got finally the role!

A DELICIOUS DRESS

You might love chocolate, but would you like to wear chocolate clothes? This model is wearing a dress painted with 50 kg of chocolate! It took two weeks to make for a chocolate show in London last year. But wearing it is not easy: you have to keep cool or the dress melts!

ONE DIRECTION AT MADAME TUSSAUDS

Recently, One Direction were transformed into wax figures at the famous London museum, Madame Tussauds. It was a big honour for the group!

1D WAX FIGURES:

In 2013, the five members of One Direction had two sittings with the sculptors who were to create thir wax figures for Madame Tussauds. The sculptors' biggest challenge was to capture the boys' playful, cheeky smiles and show their true personalities.

TAKING HARRY'S MEASUREMENTS:

Here, Harry is having his head measured by the sculptor's assistants. They took around 200 measurements and photos of each of the 1D boys. Zayn, Liam, Harry, Niall and Louis loved the experience!

IT'S LONG BUT FUN!
Lian and the other 1D boys returned tot he studios when the clay heads were ready. They spent 40 minutes sittings beside their models so that the sculptors cold perfect them.

LIAM'S PERFECT SMILE:

To make the teeth for Liam's wax model, Liam had tot bite into dental resin. The mould was then sent to a dental company which specializes in false teeth. The company spent four days making a set of teeth to resproduce Liam's perfect smile.

10. AN EMAIL TO AN INTERNET FORUM

Hi, 

My name is Clàudia Guilana and I live in South London in England. I like the town where I live, so I want to improve it.

Young people spend all their time hanging around on the street. There are sometimes problems with vandalism and graffiti. There isn't anywhere for young people to go. There aren't any facilites for them!

I think the council should do something about this. I'm sure they must have some free locals to make a youth club there, where the young people can go everyday.

11. MY TRIP TO MADRID

Hi, we are Elisabet, Clàudia Vallmajó, Claudia Guilana and Oleg Mumbrú, and last april we went on a trip to Madrid with our ESO 2 classmates.

FIRST DAY:

At 7 o'clock, we went to the school and we took a bus to Girona. There, we waited for the train (AVE) and we recorded some videos. At 11:45 we arrived to Madrid. Another bus took us to a hostel called Motion and we left our luggage there. After that we visited the “Congreso de los Diputados” and some friends like Clàudia Vallmajó, did an oral presentation about it to the class like Clàudia Vallmajó.

At 14:30 we had lunch and at 15:45 we visited the Museo del Prado. Some of our classmates like Claudia G, explained some paintings to the class. When we finished, we went to Parque del Retiro and there we had one hour for free time.

In the afternoon, we visited la Puerta de Alcalá where we sang a song about it. Finally we took an underground to go to la Opera square.

At 20:30 we had dinner at Fresco and we went to the hostel to sleep.

SECOND DAY:

At 09:00 we had breakfast and we went on foot to Puerta del Sol, Palacio Real's gardens and to the Almudena's cathedral. Then we had lunch at Fresco, the same restaurant that we went on the first day. In the afternoon, we went to a presentation about the Xi'an warriors, which was really good. After that, we walked around Plaza Neptuno, Cibeles and the Council of Madrid. When we fiinished, we ate the famous “Bocata de Calamares” in Plaza Mayor. Then we had free time and we went to the hostel to sleep and watch the football match on the TV.

THIRD DAY:

Like the second day we had breakfast and then, we made the luggage. When we finished, we walked along la Gran Via until la Plaza de España. After that, we had free time and we went to the Templo de Debot and the Senado.

At 13:30 we had lunch at the same restaurant called Fresco. After that we came back to the Motion hostel and we took the bags to leave Madrid. We arrived at Atocha Station where we had one hour for free time and bought some sweets. At 16:00, we caught the AVE which took us to Girona. At 20:02, we arrived to Girona and a bus took us to Banyoles. At 20:45 we arrived at school where our parents were waiting for us.

It was a really great trip! We had a lot of fun there!

A DANGEROUS DAY

Estela: Here is Estela calling Clàudia, where are you? You must be right here before 15 min!

Clàudia: asdfs,... Oh sorry....ajsldjal,....I think I'm lost I,... ajslfa,... I don't know where I am.

Estela: Alright, keep calm, describe your situation. We're in the beach in front of the restaurant. Can you see something like an island or a beach?

Clàudia: Mmmm,... there are only cliffs around me and I only see the water! There isn't any island in my zone.

Estela: Oh dear! Well, do you think you can stand up and shout “HELP!” To see if can we hear you?

Clàudia: It's impossible! I think I've broken my leg and my left wrise because it hurts a lot!

Estela: Don't panic! Georgina is calling the helicopter emergency and 3 coastguarders are coming with little boats to found you. I've described him what you told to me and they are coming right now.

Clàudia: Fine but hurry up! I'm scared and I think I've saw a little shark!

Estela: OK OK, but keep calm because over here can't be any sharks. Wait two minutes and I'll talk to you then. OVER AND OUT.

Clàudia: Estela!!!!!! I was right! A shark bite my boat and now is siking! I'm going to die!!!

Estela: Oh my God, ALRIGHT they think they've found you!

Clàudia: I see the helicopter but the shark is going to eat me right now! HEEEEELP!!!

2 min later

Estela: Are you alright Clàudia?! Come on answer me!!

Anonymous: Hi I'm the doctor, Clàudia is alright but it has one arm bitten for the shark, my coworkers and I we are doing the best. In 5 min we arrived over here so keep calm.

Estela: Fine, but be faster please!
